Strange meat pie is a food item found in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. As with most food items, it can restore some of your hit points, but also gives you a small amount of radiation.

Fallout 3

The strange meat pie contains strange meat, which is actually human flesh. Should you have the Cannibal perk or manage to talk your way out of a confrontation with the Smith and Wilson families in Andale, Linda Smith will provide you a free strange meat pie daily.

For more information on obtaining the strange meat pie, see the unmarked quest Our Little Secret.

Notes

  • Outside of Andale, only one other pie exists if you have the Point Lookout add-on. It's in a broken cooler (the one on the left) in the basement of the Trapper's Shack. The small pie looks just like a mirelurk cake.
  • The strange meat pie is a reference to Sweeney Todd, a barber who murdered his customers and gave the bodies to the female baker next door, who subsequently made pies out of them.

Fallout: New Vegas

In Fallout: New Vegas these items function as before, unless playing on Hardcore mode. Then they will provide health over time, instead of instantly, just as any other consumable.
