Stockton's caravan company(Note) refers to a group of trading caravans run by Old Man Stockton in the Commonwealth in 2287. They appear in Fallout 4.

Background[]

Managed by Old Man Stockton as of 2287, the group is a major organized trading outfit in the Commonwealth. The company's caravan drives primarily operate from the trading hub of Bunker Hill in Charlestown, with pack brahmin carrying goods as they travel to various towns, settlements, and farms around the region.[1][2]

By that year, the company has become embroiled in the ongoing shadow war for the liberation of synthkind. Stockton is a close associate of the Railroad,[3] whereas more than one of his employees are informants for the Institute helping them to spot and hunt down runaway synths in exchange for caps;[4] it is unclear but seems to be the case that neither is aware of the other's allegiances.

Organization[]

In 2287, Stockton's company operates three caravans which travel along distinct trade routes throughout the region.[5]. Two of these caravans are known: one is led by armor merchant Lucas Miller,[6] while another is led by general goods merchant Fred O'Connell.[7]

The average caravan has one trader, two guards typically equipped with leather armor and usually pipe weapons, and a pack brahmin loaded with goods and other ends. While they are typically known to employ their own hired guns, it is shown that on at least two occasions, a security detail composed of Gunners mercenaries is hired, first to escort Fred O'Connell while trading with the inhabitants of Vault 81, and later to safeguard a larger caravan overseen by Fred and including Stockton's daughter Amelia during a trading run to the settlement of Covenant.

Caravans managed by the company are known to travel to the following locations in the Commonwealth:
