Created in 1969, it was comprised of the former states of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The commonwealth bordered the Columbia Commonwealth, the East Central Commonwealth, and the Gulf Commonwealth.
Former North CarolinaEdit
Kitty Hawk, North Carolina is mentioned as the location of the debut flight of the Wright Flyer, created by Orville and Wilbur Wright. The Wright Flyer was the first controlled and powered aircraft, successfully staying aloft for 12 seconds on December 17, 1903. A plaque at the Museum of Technology notes that this was the first sustained flight of its kind in human history.
