Background[edit | edit source]
Layout[edit | edit source]
The location consists of a large crater where a vertibird crashed on the area's northwest side. Near the crater itself is a small military camp with APCs and off-road vehicles parked around it. The site is highly radioactive and contains the ruins of what was once a large building, now completely obliterated. The vertibird is halfway sunken into the ground. A deathclaw may spawn in the vicinity of the location.
Notable loot[edit | edit source]
- Disgruntled note - Note, on a brick on the southern end of the crater.
- Hazmat suit - Next to the disgruntled note.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
The South Mountain nuke crater appears only in Fallout 76.
