Somah is an abducted slaver being held captive in the holding cells aboard Mothership Zeta in 2277.
About
Somah is a woman held captive aboard Mothership Zeta, dressed in a Merc Veteran Outfit. She is initially unarmed, but after the quest Not of this World she is armed with a Combat Shotgun. She was also abducted from the Capital Wasteland while investigating the distress call from the Alien Crash Site.

  +
Background
She is located in the same cell you are in when you wake up after the aliens abduct you. She can't tell you much, but does have a plan to escape. She suggests that the aliens want all the humans alive, so all they need to do is to fake a fight to make it look like someone will die and the aliens will rush in and stop the Lone Wanderer and Somah, giving the Lone Wanderer and Somah a chance to escape. After they start sparring, two aliens will come to the cell door. At this time, Somah becomes a "friendly" character again and she joins the Lone Wanderer against their alien captors.

  +
Somah is one of the few wastelanders unfortunate enough to have stumbled across recon craft Theta and been abducted. Prior to this, she was a slaver working in conjunction with the slavers at Paradise Falls. She has a sweet, calm disposition that is undercut by a sadistic streak that shows through when she is under stress. She is used to being in charge, but is aware that she is out of her depth aboard the alien ship. Aside from providing supporting fire, she can repair any items that may need fixing.

Interactions with the player character
After reaching the Engineering Core and completing Not of This World, she can Repair your items, insisting you pay her for her services. Additionally, Somah is the companion from the group able to assist you in destroying the generator in the Robot Assembly area.

* Not of This World: When the Lone Wanderer wakes up from their abduction, Somah suggests a way of getting out of the holding cell.
  +
* Among the Stars: One has the option of bringing Somah with them as a companion to the Robot assembly to help out.
  +
* This Galaxy Ain't Big Enough...: If Somah survived her section in Among the Stars, she will help in the last battle by keeping aliens at bay while the player character engages the other mothership.

  +
Effects of player's actions
Somah can be heard referring to cages in Mothership Zeta being similar to the "sla- I mean, prisoners back home", circumstantially affiliating her with the Slavers. Other evidence supporting this hypothesis include her Merc Veteran Outfit, commonly worn by Slavers, and an unused test reference for her in the game files being set to use the Slaver character class. Additionally, Somah admits to working for a group "just doing it for the caps" heard in Alien Captive Recording 22. Collectively, this all seems to indicate she either work(ed)(s) as a slaver, or as a mercenary/mechanic for them.

  +
* After the final quest she "leaves the ship" but is essentially removed from the game, as one cannot find her in the Capital Wasteland.

Somah's repair skill is based on the one's level and reaches 100 at level 15, giving her the highest non-player character repair skill in the entire game at that point.

Welcome to the bowels of this shit hole.

Somah is an abducted slaver being held captive in the holding cells aboard Mothership Zeta in 2277.

Background

Somah is one of the few wastelanders unfortunate enough to have stumbled across recon craft Theta and been abducted. She is used to being in charge, but is aware that she is out of her depth aboard the alien ship. Aside from providing supporting fire, she can repair any items that may need fixing.[1]
