When entering the living room of the home, on hearing the news of initial attacks on the television broadcast one can briefly see him out of the front window. He is running across the lawn towards the vault in his bathrobe and slippers. He is then seen again outside the gates to Vault 111 in a worried state, unable to enter.[1]
Using the console to clip outside the house before the player character leaves the house, Mr. Smith is standing in a worried pose in his blue bathrobe and red slippers. He is positioned just to the left on exiting the home and is in fact on the lawn.
He appears to be single with no partner present and one of the few named characters outside the Vault.
