The following is based on information from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. |
9mm rounds, named small bullets in-game, are a type of ammunition in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.
Background
Main article: 9mm
Before the Great War, 9mm was the preferred type of ammunition for small weapons in the American Southwest, while the military and the eastern and western seaboards tended to favor the more powerful 10mm ammunition. 9mm is also lightweight and easy to find.[1] One downside to 9mm was its infamous inferior lethality and has kept that reputation even after the Great War.[2]
Characteristics
They are used in many small guns and are abundant in Chapter 1. After that, they are quite rare and are more often sold by merchants than found.

- ↑ Wanderer's Guide Book, pg. 58: "Before the Great War, 9mm was the preferred type of ammunition for small weapons in the American Southwest, while the military and the Eastern and Western Seaboards tended to favor the more powerful 10mm ammunition. 9mm ammunition is lightweight and widely available, but has a reputation for being insufficiently deadly."
- ↑ The Courier: "It takes more than a couple bullets in the head to stop me."
Benny: "Yeah, hello... Well, serves me right for using a 9mm."
