“The strongman's specialty makes an appearance in the wasteland, but its dull head does little damage to armored opponents. However, the sledgehammer is a great crowd-clearing weapon, giving you a moment to switch to a knife or firearms for finishing enemies on a one-by-one basis.”
Sledgehammers are blunt melee weapons in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

Unlike most other types of sledgehammer, this version has a rather short shaft and in comparison a large cylindric mallet.
