The Signal Hills transmitter is a location in Big MT in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Old World Blues.
Background[]
Sometime before 2281, after being forced to flee from his previous campsite at Little Yangtze following Christine Royce's failed assassination attempt, Elijah relocated to the transmitter, where he attempted and eventually succeeded in gaining remote access to the mainframe of the Think Tank despite attempts by the Think Tank to send robots to kill or capture him. Elijah later abandoned the transmitter to find a more defensible position that still allowed him to remain linked via the transmitter.[1][2]
Layout[]
Situated east-northeast of Little Yangtze and southeast of the X-17 meteorological station in the cardinal north side of Big MT, the location consists of a small, one-room building with the usual assortment of filing cabinets and desks. On the roof of the building, there is a small camp with several ammunition boxes. To the northeast across a fallen radio tower is a fountain guarded by spore plants, including the unique enemy Dionaea Muscipula.
Notable loot[]
- Auto-Doc Upgrade: Hair Styling Enhancements - Inside the building, on the desk next to the entrance.
- Recipes - Barter skill book - Below the shelves next to the entrance.
- Elijah's advanced LAER - a unique variant of the LAER, found on the roof of the building.
- torn journal page - Found on the roof of the building.
- LAER mod - prismatic lens - Found on the roof of the building.
Across the fallen radio tower to the northeast:
- Two seed packages - One is located to the northeast, near a fountain. Another can be found to the north of the fountain, across the giant rusted pipe leading to another small clearing. Relevant to Field Research.
- Valence radii-accentuator - On a skeleton in the fountain.
- Corrosive glove - On the body of Dionaea Muscipula.

Notes[]
- Picking up the journal page or the weapon will cause three lobotomites to spawn on the north side of the building.
- A blue Old World flag symbol can be seen on the door of the transmitter building, left by Ulysses.
