Sierra Madre security is a law enforcement agency operating at the Sierra Madre before the Great War.

Background[]

Due to the isolated location of the Sierra Madre and his personal fears of nuclear war, Frederick Sinclair created the Sierra Madre security to guard the casino, headquartered in the villa. Hiring former police officers from other locations[1] the security team was a small but well equipped force, although many questioned why Sinclair needed a human security force when he already had holograms.[2]

When Sinclair ordered a prohibition on outside alcohol and chems among the villa construction teams, it fell to security to enforce it. While they did occasionally conduct raids on Puesta del Sol construction offices, [3] most of the security was in on the smuggling or stole confiscated items from the evidence locker,[4] with the villa police chief receiving smuggled alcohol from Mr. Yesterday personally.[5]

Soon after this, Sinclair decided that it was a "villa matter"[6] and that so long as construction continued and there were no fights between workers that they could keep their contraband items.[7] In addition, the security team oversaw the installation of the Sierra Madre vending machines by M&M Construction, the company building the main casino.[8]

Notes[]

The Sierra Madre security team was well equipped thanks to Sinclair, with a large amount of explosives, various firearms, and armor. A reinforced version of the security armor also existed. Security members were typically issued police pistols, shotguns, or automatic rifles. Many of the traps that Dean Domino created following the war were made using explosives he acquired from the villa police station.[9]

Appearances[]

Sierra Madre security is mentioned only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Dead Money.
