The short ported and shielded barrel is a barrel weapon mod in Fallout 4.
Effects[]
When equipped on a combat shotgun, the weapon appears with the "Ported" prefix and metal plating on the top of the barrel. It gains decreased weapon recoil and a 10% decreased AP cost in V.A.T.S.. It serves as the tier 2 mod along with the long ported and shielded barrel, above the short and long barrel.
