The Shiv is a melee weapon in Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, and Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

- San Francisco Chinatown, Purchased from Lao Chou at the Flying Dragon 8.
- PMV Valdez, Purchased from Cal.

- Brahmin Wood, found on a raider outside the compound entrance.
- Sometimes found on Ghouls in random encounters.
Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
“The staple of prison movies, Shivs are crafted from scrap metal and old tape. They do little damage, but are better than an empty hand when going rounds with a surly Raider.”
Characteristics
It's the weakest weapon in the game and, ironically, also the rarest. No vendor sells it and it is found only on hostile Los ghouls very rarely.

- Los. Very rarely, the ghouls here equip this weapon.
