Shining Creek is an unmarked river in the Skyline Valley region of Appalachia in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.

Layout[]

Shining Creek can be seen on the world map, and is situated on the eastern side of the Shenandoah National Park, now part of Skyline Valley. It originates from Shining Creek Cavern and flows north. It is in close proximity to the small bog where the abandoned convoy is located, but is not actually connected to that swamp.

The creek diverges into two paths surrounding a small island in the middle of the waterway. Beavers can be found along the path, including at a dam. The river passes by a cliffside where a truck has fallen; radtoads may spawn nearby. The waterway ends at a mouth with a rock formation; above the rocks, to the north, is a hollow stump surrounded by three more rocks with the insignia of the Pioneer Scouts. Three Lost may also spawn nearby. This is where the Pioneer Treasure Hunt concludes.

Appearances[]

Shining Creek appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.

Behind the scenes[]

Shining Creek does not appear to be based on any real-world waterway in the Shenandoah National Park, although there is a trail with the same name in North Carolina.
