The Shenandoah River begins in Virginia, flowing northeast along the Blue Ridge Mountains, eventually converging into the Potomac River at the West Virginian town of Harpers Ferry. The river is the namesake of Shenandoah Street in Harpers Ferry and is mentioned in various songs played on Appalachia Radio.[1]

Behind the scenes
In 1763, the original town of "Shenandoah Falls at Mr. Harpers Ferry" was established at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers[2]
