“Hi! Nice weather we've been having, huh?”— Seymour

Seymour is an unusual, intelligent, talking spore plant living in Broken Hills. He was grown from a tiny spore and nurtured by the insane Professor, but he realized from an early age that if he were to act as smart as he truly was, the professor would cut him into pieces to examine him. Therefore, Seymour played dumb and got planted outside in the Professor's garden.

Other interactions

Seymour can help the Chosen One beat the Professor's radscorpion at chess, telling him to use the Flying Liver Attack once the Chosen One uses a shovel to replant Seymour. A shovel can be purchased from Bill in Broken hills downtown.

• Later in the game, Typhon can be found chatting with Seymour.

Seymour appears only in Fallout 2.

Behind the scenes

• Seymour is obviously a reference to Audrey II, the man-eating plant of Little Shop of Horrors. The protagonist of that movie is named Seymour.
