The settler outfit is a piece of clothing in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics

When equipped, the outfit grants +2 Damage Threshold and has no additional effects. It can be repaired with other instances of itself, the caravaneer outfit, field hand outfit, and prospector outfit, and, with the Jury Rigging perk, both light armor and other pieces in the "clothing" category.

The male version of the outfit is almost identical to the prospector outfit, consisting of a dirtied brown work shirt under blue denim overalls paired with dark-colored work boots, though it removes the satchel and replaces the loose goggles with a red-colored bandana. The female version consists of a dirtied tan dress with a torn white apron, a bundled brown scarf, and a larger waterskin hanging in the front compared to the prospector outfit.

Locations

• Worn by Ruby Nash in Primm and Daisy Whitman in Novac.
• Can appear on one or more of the burned bodies around at the tribal village.
• Two can be found and stolen from footlockers in the caravaneer barracks at the Crimson Caravan Company compound near Freeside.
• Nipton:
  • Worn by a dead Nipton settler close to an ash pile.
  • Can be found on many of the corpses in the Nipton Town Hall.
• Can appear worn by travelers.

Notes

After patch 1.3.0.452 patch is installed, the outfit's weight was changed to 1.5 instead of 15.
