Sergio directed the cowboy movie The Fightin' Furies: Last Stand at Fort McGee. Posters for the film can be found on the Island and in Appalachia. Gilda Broscoe claims that Keith McKinney saw Sergio and Vince Natali together in a "compromising situation" at a nightclub.[1]

Sergio's name is a nod to Sergio Leone, an Italian film director who pioneered the Spaghetti western genre.
