The Screaming Eagle is a weapon skin for the handmade rifle introduced in the Fallout 76 update The Legendary Run.
Characteristics[]
The Screaming Eagle skin changes the appearance of the handmade rifle to that of a select-fire battle rifle originally chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO.[1] The weapon also has a variety of cosmetic selections to choose from: a paratrooper "flyboy" custom, a standard wood finish and a woodland camouflage finish. The Tropic Lightning is painted with a four-color disruptive woodland pattern. The magazine, scope, and barrel tip are instead painted a worn black color.

Notes[]
- The Screaming Eagle rifle skin does not have a unique drum magazine model, and will use the handmade rifle's drum when modified with one.
- The skin will always have a stock visually present even if the handmade rifle was modified with only a grip.
- The selector switch on the Screaming Eagle rifle's model is set to automatic, regardless of the fire mode of the current receiver on the rifle.
- When firing, the rifle's bolt does not reciprocate backwards with only the knob connected to it doing so.
- Due to reusing handmade rifle handling animations, the user's thumb will clip through the Screaming Eagle rifle handguard.
Behind the scenes[]
- All Screaming Eagle skins share a custom animation set with the unreleased R91 skin.[2] However, when wearing power armor, the weapon skins will use the same reload animation as the handmade rifle.
- The wooden furniture variant of the Screaming Eagle makes the weapon visually similar to the AK-112 assault rifle that appeared in Fallout and Fallout 2.
Bugs[]
- The magazine model for the Screaming Eagle rifle is slightly misaligned with the magazine well.
