Sam is the unassuming cleaner of The Showmen, taking discreet care of anyone who offends members of the faction (typically in a painful way that is designed to send a message). He wants the approval of Mother Charlotte so he can remain in her metaphorical family.
Vault 76 dwellers can assist him during one of these jobs, with a variety of outcomes.

The player can use Strength 12+ when meeting him to receive 200 caps.
Upon finding out he has Stratton in a locked room, Sam is confronted. The player may agree to kill Stratton for him, or kill Sam himself. Sam will not go down without a fight and will use a machete to attack.
During Custodial Compulsions, the player has the option to flirt with Sam. He will respond positively, grateful for the interest, and reciprocate regardless of the player character's gender.
