The Salt of the Earth is a shotgun in Fallout 76, introduced in the Nuclear Winter update.

It was available as a reward for completing the weekly challenge of "Down on the farm" in Survival mode from June 11 to June 17, 2019.

Characteristics

A side by side, break action, double barrel shotgun, this model of shotgun has a high damage output balanced by a slow reload and fixed ammo capacity. This unique three-star weapon combines 3 legendary effects:

  • Two Shot: Shoots an additional projectile at +25% damage¹
  • Major: (Hitman's) +10% increased damage while aiming
  • Minor: (Rapid) +15% faster reload
¹ Buffed based damage is then divided by the number of projectiles, which is increased to 9. Each pellet deals 11.1% overall damage.
