When Roy was a boy, his father taught him the game of chess. His father told him that the world is a chaotic place, but one can always find peace in chess. Unfortunately, his father was killed by raider attack dogs.[1]
He considers himself a simple man with grand ambitions of teaching the other residents how to play the pre-War game of chess, but he is sad that no one else seems to care about it like he does.[2]
