The roving trader outfit and roving trader hat are a set of clothing in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
When equipped, the complete outfit does not grant any Damage Threshold and only equipping the hat grants +5 Barter. The outfit can be repaired with other instances of itself and all wasteland outfit variants, while the hat can be repaired with other instances of itself. With the Jury Rigging perk, both can be repaired with light armor and other pieces in the "clothing" and "headgear" categories.
The complete outfit consists of a heavy leather coat lined with multiple pockets and pouches; a green canteen hanging from the left hip; a pair of road goggles hung from the neck; and a few hockey pads and straps down the left arm as rudimentary armor. It is paired with worn-out, stitched together jeans, black boots, and fingerless gloves. The hat is a dirtied brown baseball cap with a second pair of road goggles propped above the brim.

Despite its name, the outfit is not commonly worn by any of the traveling merchants encountered in the Mojave Wasteland.
