Route 33 traffic jam(Note 1) is an unmarked location in the Burning Springs region of Appalachia in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update. The location can be found southeast of Sand Fork Lumber, at the end of Route 33 South. It is the final resting place for Leonard's son Owen, as well as three outlaws.

Background[]

Layout[]

At the end of Route 33 South, a pre-War house is on the trailer of a house-moving truck that is too big to fit through the upcoming tunnel. Due to the traffic jam this has caused, a police car has barricaded the road, and a couple vehicles are backed up behind it. Next to the house, Owen can be found impaled on a metal spike along with another impaled settler. At the end of the road just before the tunnel, the three members of the Lemon Boy Gang Fallout 76 unused content(Note 2) (Archie the Kid, Darwin the Devil, and Robyn the Brute) are found dead. The notes found on their corpses detail a scheme instigated by Robyn to pit Archie and Darwin against each other, which could have led to an internal confrontation.

Notes[]

  • ^ (Note 1) As an unmarked location, this name is conjectural. Unmarked locations in the Burning Springs region are only identified by numbered POI listings, and this article uses a descriptive title for the location in lieu of an official name.
  • ^ (Note 2) Fallout 76 unused content The unused note Bounty draft - Lemon Boys would have given more background on Archie, Darwin, and Robyn found dead here, but this note cannot be found in-game as of Burning Springs release. The note detailed how the Lemon Boy gang were outlaws on the run and a bounty was being considered, which could have potentially explained their demise here. The notes to Archie and Darwin found here do confirm a price was put on their heads, but does not refer to them as the Lemon Boy gang anywhere.
