Only thinking happy thoughts today...

Ronda Spencer[1] is a worried housewife trying to shut out the world for her son's birthday party in the Fallout TV series.

Background[]

The wife of Bob Spencer, Ronda Spencer and her husband are holding a birthday party for their son Roy Spencer (unfortunately born on October 23rd).

Fallout TV series[]

The End[]

As the party for her son is being held, Ronda Spencer is adamant about shutting out all mentions of Sino-American War, which is currently ongoing. She turns off a radio discussing the disappearance of the President, she switches off a television showing a report of the stalling of peace talks in Anchorage and tells the other mothers of the children attending the birthday party that were watching it "It's a party, let's just focus on the party. Okay?".

She gets a photo with Cooper Howard at Bob's request, but when her husband insists that Howard give his famous thumbs up, Ronda Spencer tells her husband to drop it. She thanks Howard for attending as he tells her he must leave.

Once the party is brought inside and Roy Spencer turns on the television to a weather report, the Weather newscaster starts to worry if there will be a next week, prompting her to quickly change the channel to a showing of Grognak & the Ruby Ruins.

When the Great War starts, Bob takes her and Roy to the family bomb shelter.

Personality[]

Ronda Spencer was shown to avoid any or all news or talk about the inevitable doomsday, as well as keeping everyone blissfully ignorant and enjoying her son's birthday party.

Notable quotes[]

  • "Drop it, Bob."

Appearances[]

Ronda Spencer appears only in the Fallout TV series episode "The End."

Behind the scenes[]

In the episode credits, actress Janie Brookshire is credited only as "Mrs. Spencer." The character's first name is said by Bob while the family is running to the fallout shelter, but it is very faint and hard to identify, and was only confirmed once the script of the episode was made publicly available.[1]
