Ronald "Ron" Perlman is an actor who voiced the opening and closing narrations of Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 76 and Fallout Tactics. He also voiced Butch Harris in Fallout and the newscaster in Fallout 4.
Work on the Fallout series[]
Perlman narrated the following cutscenes in the Fallout games listed below. The intro narration in each of these games starts with the iconic line, "War. War never changes." He did not narrate Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel or Fallout 4, though he did voice a prominent character (the television newscaster) in Fallout 4's prologue and appeared in its first trailer.

Behind the scenes[]
In localized versions of Fallout games, Perlman's voice for the cutscene narrations has been dubbed by various actors. For both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, his voice was dubbed by François Siener (French) and Pepe Mediavilla (Spanish). For Fallout 4, Perlman's role as the newscaster was instead dubbed by Bruno Dubernat in French. For Fallout 76, Perlman's Spanish dub was performed by Adolfo Pastor, replacing Mediavilla, who died in April 2018.
