Well... I don't right know. But we're the best one, isn't that what matters? I mean, we're the winners. Us. Not Springfield. Not Rockville. Us.Linda Smith

Rockville was a city in Maryland. It is approximately 10–15 miles to the northwest of the Washington, D.C. border.

Background[edit | edit source]

Linda Smith claims that Andale has beaten Rockville every single year since the war in the "City of the Year" contest.[1] Rockville was also home to the company Ornate Obelisks.[2]

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Rockville is mentioned in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Rockville is based on the real world location of Rockville, Maryland. Bethesda Softworks, the developer of Fallout 3, is headquartered in Rockville. In addition, Rockville is in close proximity to both real world equivalents of Andale and Springfield.
