The Ridgers were a tribe which originated in the Grand Canyon.

Background[edit | edit source]

Based in the Grand Canyon, they were at war with the Blackfoot tribe. The weakest of the Blackfoot's enemies, Caesar and the Blackfoots stormed the Ridger's strongholds and exterminated the entirety of their tribe. While for most assimilated tribes, the able-bodied men are enslaved to fight for Caesar and the women and children are enslaved for breeding or raising as legionaries, the Ridgers were an exception and were wiped out completely as an example.[1]

Appearances[edit | edit source]

The Ridgers are mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.

References[edit | edit source]

  1. The Courier: "What happened after you trained the Blackfoot?"
Caesar: "{LATIN} {dih-WE-day et im-PEER-ah} Divide et impera - divide and conquer. I led the Blackfoot against the Ridgers, their weakest enemy. When they refused to surrender, I ordered every man, woman, and child killed. When next we surrounded the Kaibabs and they likewise refused... I took one of their envoys to the Ridgers' village and showed him the corpse piles."
