The weakest enemy of the Blackfoot tribe, Caesar explains the fate of the Ridgers while describing to the Courier the events that led up to the establishment of the Legion. He shares that he trained the Blackfoot tribe members in warfare, subsequently targeting the Ridgers first. The tribe refused to surrender, so he ordered every man, woman, and child killed.
Continuing on, he led the Blackfoot against the Kaibabs, who likewise refused. In response, he took one of the Kaibab envoys back to the Ridgers' village to provide an example of what they were capable of. After this display, the Kaibabs joined the Blackfoot under Sallow's command, pushing forward to conquer other tribes.
The Ridgers are mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.
- Courier: "What happened after you trained the Blackfoot?"
Caesar: "Divide et impera - divide and conquer. I led the Blackfoot against the Ridgers, their weakest enemy. When they refused to surrender, I ordered every man, woman, and child killed. When next we surrounded the Kaibabs and they likewise refused... I took one of their envoys to the Ridgers' village and showed him the corpse piles.
- Courier: "What happened to the tribes?"
Caesar: "The Kaibabs joined me, and the Fredonians after that - all the pissant tribes, with names that should be forgotten."
