The Responder janitor is a resident of the Whitespring Refuge in Appalachia.
Background[]
The Responder janitor is a colleague of the Responder custodian. The custodian cares about the environment outside and wishes to burn the trash in the hotel's generator, feeling it should be converted into heat and energy. The janitor disagrees, feeling they should just put the garbage outside for now.

The Responder janitor appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Expeditions: The Pitt update.
Behind the scenes[]
According to voice actor Torian Brackett, who also voiced generic Responders at the Refuge, he was asked to voice side characters like the janitor and the bitter lover on the day of recording. Brackett had more directional leeway with these characters than the generic Responders he was cast for. Brackett cited this as an example of why actors must keep an open mind and be ready for anything before recording, as he was not expecting to voice the other characters like the janitor but "they need to be given the same care and attention as anyone else."[Non-game 1]
