Detailed walkthrough[]
Upon arriving in Klamath, head over to the Buckner House and talk to Ardin. When asking her what is bothering her, she says her fiancé, Smiley has gone missing, his last known location being the toxic caves. Agree to keep an eye out, and she'll mark the location on the map.
Rubber boots are needed to avoid radiation damage and there are many geckos running about that can either be fought or avoided. Smiley is located on the 2nd floor, hiding in a generator room. Talk to him and bring him to the entrance where he'll thank the Chosen One and disband. Head back to Klamath for the reward.
Rewards[]
- 500 XP (does not show up in the text window)
- Sulik's freedom or $100
- The Gecko Skinning perk, by talking to him back in Klamath at the Buckner House. He will also give a 1-6% bonus to the Outdoorsman skill.
