The Red Victory grenade rifle is a unique weapon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.
Background[]
The "Red Victory" grenade rifle was a Chinese replication of the American Great Bear grenade rifle. At some point during the Sino-American War, an entire shipment of Red Victories was seized by American forces, with a single instance of the weapon being sent as a gift to a general in the United States military by a friend who stole it from the shipment.[1] Following the Great War, the gifted weapon was left intact in its sealed case in the area that would become Dry Wells.
Characteristics[]
Compared to the standard grenade rifle and other variants, the Red Victory grenade rifle does the same damage per shot (save for the Great Bear variant) and has the highest damage-per-second (DPS) value of all. It also has the lowest AP cost, the lowest weight and shares the highest caps value with the Great Bear variant. It does however share the highest spread with the standard variant and the mercenary variant, does the same critical hit damage (save for the Great Bear variant) as others, and shares the second-lowest durability with Thump-Thump.

The Red Victory grenade rifle can fire a total of about 620 standard rounds from full condition before breaking.

- Thump-Thump - a unique variant found at Nellis Air Force Base, in the Nellis array.
- Mercenary's grenade rifle - a unique variant added with the Courier's Stash add-on.
- Great Bear grenade rifle - a unique variant found in the Long 15 (requires sending the Divide missiles to target NCR territory during The Apocalypse).

Location[]
The weapon is found in a gun case on a cliff in the western side of Dry Wells. It can be obtained only if the Courier chooses to launch the missiles at the Legion, or both the NCR and the Legion during The Apocalypse. If The End is completed by aborting the missile launch, the weapon is unobtainable without console commands.
Notes[]
- The Red Victory grenade rifle originally appeared as cut content texture and meshes in the game files of Old World Blues, named as spider rifle, along with the projectiles.
- This weapon is not affected by the Grunt perk.
