Characteristics

The Red Ryder BB gun has good magazine capacity, but it is almost useless in-game because of very low damage potential. The LE variant performs much better.

• One in a footlocker in the Bob's Pre-Owned Car Mart special encounter.
• Another is in the possession of a child in Shady Sands (entrance map).
• One can be found on a shelf in Killian's room in the Darkwaters.

Notes

In Fallout, Nicole gives the code phrase "Red Rider" to the Vault Dweller so they can talk to Laura.

Behind the scenes

The Red Ryder BB gun is a reference to a weapon of the same name made famous by the 1983 holiday film A Christmas Story.
