Recompense of the Fallen is a unique weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.

Characteristics[]

Compared to the standard dog tag fist, Recompense of the Fallen deals higher damage per strike at a faster attack speed and has higher durability. It requires no Unarmed skill level and just 1 Strength to use effectively.

Visually, the weapon is the same as the standard variant, consisting of three NCR Army dogtags clenched between the fingers on each hand, with the chains wrapped around the knuckles, proximal to the palm.

Location[]

The weapon is located at Cottonwood Cove, east of Camp Searchlight, found in the desk in the office of Aurelius of Phoenix on the second floor of the Cottonwood Cove HQ.

Notes[]

Equipping the weapon will always remove the Courier's right glove, but not the left one, which has the Pip-Boy attached to it. This is true for all armors that use gloves.

This glitch may occur with other hand-to-hand weapons such as the Golden Gloves. [verified]
