Rebecca was part of a group with Miles, Rob, and Craig who entered Shenandoah National Park in 2105 after witnessing the formation of the thunderstorm over Dark Hollow Manor. Their goal was to see if anyone in the region needed help; however, the region's dangers got to them instead. Somewhere on their way towards Dark Hollow Manor, the group was attacked by the Lost and separated from one another. Rebecca made it to the manor, but was attacked by the Lost and forced to flee back outside. They cornered her outside the main gate, forcing her to take a last stand there. However, despite a large bloodstain, there is no sign of her body at the location, and no drag marks, suggesting that she may have survived.[1][2]
At some point during the trip, the group was chased by dogs, and Miles lost his rations during the escape, although Rebecca managed to kill the dogs. Miles never thanked her, to Rob's annoyance.[3]
Into Lands Unknown: Rebecca is the last of the three missing Settlers who Craig asks the Vault Dwellers to find. Rebecca is not present at the location where the quest points to, but signs of her presence are still there, including a large bloodstain and several Lost corpses. With Perception 12+, the bloodstain can be examined to suggest that Rebecca may still be alive, given a lack of drag marks. A number of Lost will spawn after the bloodstain is interacted with.
Gather personal effects for Craig: This miscellaneous objective is distinct from Into Lands Unknown but can be completed alongside it. Rebecca's personal item to be returned to Craig is Rebecca's holotags, which can be found in the hand of a feral Lost corpse near the Dark Hollow Manor gate.
↑Perception 12+ message from examining Rebecca's bloodstain: [Perception 12+] You've found a pool of blood surrounded by Lost fallen in battle. Someone must have taken their last stand here, likely one of Craig's group. On closer inspection, they took out the Lost as they were chased from the manor. No drag marks, so they may have survived.
