Not to be confused with Rapidan Camp. |
Rapidan Creek is an unmarked river in the Skyline Valley region of Appalachia in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.
Layout[]
Rapidan Creek can be seen on the world map, and is situated on the western side of the Shenandoah National Park, now part of Skyline Valley. It originates from the picturesque Three Ponds and flows down beyond the bounds of the world map, to the south of Appalachia. Despite the name, it does not actually come close to the location of Rapidan Camp, which has its own separate pond.
Instead, the creek goes down through the landmark known as Grindstone Arch and winds along a sharp, hilly part of the region. The main path continues past Naked Creek and Research Site Saxony, where a small island temporarily splits the river between these two locations. It then diverges again to feed into the Old Crimora Mines. From there, the creek continues south, flowing past the border of the game's playable area.
Appearances[]
Rapidan Creek appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.
Behind the scenes[]
Rapidan Creek is based on the real-world Rapidan River in the northern part of the state of Virginia.
