Ranger Substation Eagle is a location in Zion Canyon in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
Background[]
Prior to the Great War, the National Park Service's Rangers stationed in Zion utilized a series of three substations (Eagle, Peregrine, and Osprey) to maintain their coverage of the canyon and oversee the park's maintenance and safety.
Post-War, the Sorrows tribe, according to their belief in the "Father in the Caves", marked the Ranger Substations and other pre-War buildings as off-limits and made it taboo to enter them.
Layout[]
All three Ranger Substations have similar layouts. Situated west of the Bend Bridge and southwest of Court Fork overlook, Substation Eagle has a single room on the lower floor that contains various crafting items/common loot and a staircase that leads to a single room living quarters for the ranger.
The living quarters area includes a bookshelf, bed, table, and a first aid box. At the top is a locked gun case with a leveled lock. The entire building is marked with the chalk-white handprints used by the Sorrows tribe.
Notes[]
- If Follows-Chalk is an active companion when near the location, his Well-Stacked Cairns perk will activate, revealing any nearby undiscovered map markers and granting a temporary +3 to Perception for three minutes. At this location, the map markers revealed include Bighorn Bluff, the Bend Bridge, and Court Fork Overlook.
- A hollowed-out rock can be found west-southwest of the substation, at the dead-end of the gorge.
Appearances[]
Ranger Substation Eagle appears only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
Bugs[]
Fallout 3 quest Escape! This gives it fixed contents, containing ten stimpaks and one Med-X.
The first aid box spawns as a first aid kit, similar to the one encountered in the
