RadAway is a consumable item in Fallout 4.

Characteristics

RadAway is an intravenous chemical solution that can be recognized by its orange color. It serves to purge radiation from the user's body. It takes some time to work, and is also a potent diuretic. It does not affect the user's Radiation Resistance like Rad-X, instead used after absorbing radiation to purge some of it from the body.

• RadAway can be found in first aid boxes or wooden crates, or as a random loot on feral ghouls or Children of Atom.
• Six can be found in the Boston mayoral shelter.
• Four of Mass Fusion containment shed in the back of a blue Wicked Shipping truck.
• Three in the basement of the Memory Den.
• Three in the locked cage north of the rotten landfill.
• Three on board the Yangtze.
• Two in Concord Civic Access - One in a Novice level locked toolbox and one in a blue crate on the catwalk.
• Two in Longneck Lukowski's Cannery, on the left side shelf of the storeroom in front of the elevator.
• Two at the water filtration caps stash located due east of Sanctuary Hills.
• One in a chem cooler on the second floor of the Museum of Freedom.
• One on the ground floor of Concord Speakeasy.
• One next to a dead woman in Concord's workhouse.
• One in the National Guard training yard upstairs in the smokey room.
• One underneath Nat's dresser in Publick Occurrences.

Survival mode

In Survival mode, RadAway adds negative effects such as Fatigue, Hunger, and an increased probability for Infection challenging the player character to only use it when really needed, or when they are in a low risk situation. Alternatives to ease radiation sickness while conserving RadAway include drinking a refreshing beverage, eating mutant hound chops, consuming the mysterious serum, using a decontamination arch, or seeing a doctor.
