The quick eject mag modification cannot be found in the game world. The assault rifle variant may appear equipped on those that spawn with raiders, super mutants, Gunners, Brotherhood soldiers, etc., as well as those sold by weapons vendors such as Arturo Rodriguez at the Diamond City market, KL-E-0 in Goodneighbor, Proctor Teagon onboard the Prydwen, the traveling merchant Cricket, etc. Both variants can also be crafted at a weapons workbench.
