“In combat, there's no time to hesitate.”
Quick Hands is an Agility perk in Fallout 4.
Effects[]
Taking ranks of this perk increases the speed of reloading for all firearms. Higher ranks negate the AP cost when reloading in VATS as well as grants +10 to max AP.
Ranks[]
Rank | Requirements | Description | Form ID |
---|---|---|---|
1 | AGI 8 | In combat, there's no time to hesitate. You can reload all guns faster. | 000221FC |
2 | AGI 8, LVL 28 | Reloading guns costs no Action Points in V.A.T.S. | 001D2478 |
3 | AGI 8, LVL 40 | Quick and efficient. You gain 10 additional Action Points. | xx0296BE |
Rank 1 increases the reloading speed by 35%
Notes[]
- This perk does not increase the cocking speed of the Hunting rifle.
- Rank 2 and the negation of the AP cost in VATS for reloading becomes a bit of a waste of perk points when considering how minor V.A.T.S. reload costs can be.
- Rank 3 of this perk is also superfluous if the player still aims to increase their Agility, as each Agility point also bestows +10 AP to the player in addition to improving the decreased chance of detection while sneaking.
Bugs[]
The improved reload speed of rank 1 of this perk may stop working under certain circumstances. Getting into or exiting power armor seems to be a potential trigger. [verified]
- It can be remedied by switching/reequipping your current weapon or by entering/exiting power armor again if that was the initial cause.
