The reload speed gained from taking rank one grants the player 35% faster reloading speed.
Notes
- This perk does not increase the cocking speed of the hunting rifle.
- Before investing in this perk, consider that rank 2's usefulness comes into question when considering how minor V.A.T.S. reload costs can be. Rank 3 of this perk is also superfluous if the player is still able to increase their Agility, as each Agility point also bestows +10 AP to the player—in addition to improved sneaking and allowing access to the Blitz and Gun Fu perks.
Bugs
The improved reload speed of rank 1 of this perk may stop working under certain circumstances. Getting into or exiting power armor seems to be a potential trigger. [verified]
- It can be remedied by switching/reequipping your current weapon or by entering/exiting power armor again if that was the initial cause.
