The pylon ambush site is a location in the Ash Heap region of Appalachia.
Background[]
This facility, under the command of Bysshe Company employee Wolf, was responsible for the capture of an AWOL Assaultron unit, the Imposter Sheepsquatch. This unit was equipped with shielding technology that made it invulnerable to all weapons. The three pylons scattered around the location were designed to channel energy through a human to the Assaultron, and this was suggested to be the only way to take down the unit's shields, but all three had to be active at the same time, or the robot would remain invincible.[1]
Layout[]
This is a wooden cabin owned by the Bysshe Company, located in the Ash Heap. There are three pylons with flashing lights around the area, connected by electrical wires. A partially submerged safe sits in a pool of toxic water beside the cabin. Inside the cabin are the skeletal remains of Big Bad Wolf, as well as a tinker's workbench and a terminal which sits on a table beside a ham radio. Behind the cabin is a cooking station and some piles of wood.
Notes[]
Before the pylon ambush site was added to the game, the location was simply an unmarked cabin known as the "hilltop sludge hut" in the Fallout 76 Vault Dweller's Survival Guide.[Non-game 1]
Appearances[]
The pylon ambush site appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wild Appalachia update.
