The YK32 pulse pistol is an electrical pulse weapon that was developed by the Yuma Flats Energy Consortium. Though powerful, the YK32 was never considered a practical weapon due to its inefficient energy usage and bulky design.[1]

Codenamed the "CIRCUITBREAKER,"[2] this pulse pistol is a prototype weapon developed for the United States Armed Forces by an unknown manufacturer as a countermeasure to power armor, which they thought the Chinese were developing.[3] It was transported by Staff Sergeant Daniels to Vault 34 by orders of Colonel Roy Blackwell, for safekeeping until the manufacturer could retrieve the prototype for production.[2]
