The prehistoric bones camp[Non-game 1] is an unmarked location in the Forest region of Appalachia. It is located north of Alpine River Cabins, where the smaller mountain on the right ends on the world map.

Layout[]

This was the site of an archaeological dig unearthing the bones of a prehistoric creature. In 2102, there were two lootable containers here, a toolbox and a tent. There also were a couple of skeletons strewn about the area, in addition to a shovel and pickaxe. There also was a battered fedora next to one of the skeletons.

As of 2103, the skeletons, the fedora, the shovel and the tent are gone. Instead two sleeping bags can be found here, as well as two random NPCs, which usually spend their time sitting and talking in their camping chairs.

Photographing the fossil with the ProSnap Deluxe camera counts towards the Pioneer Scouts Possum badge world challenge for archaeology.

Appearances[]

The prehistoric bones camp appears only in Fallout 76.
