The power fist is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
An unarmed weapon consisting of a gunmetal-gray mechanical glove with a hydraulic piston powered ram mounted atop the forearm that, when punching an enemy, the ram is pushed forward to smash into them and even can inflict a "knockdown" effect. On the left side of the forearm mount, there is a series of 33 tally marks.
It deals a moderate amount of damage per strike, at the fastest attack speed of all unarmed weapons along with the ballistic fist and its unique variant Two-Step Goodbye (GRA) 
, the bear trap fist 
, and the corrosive glove 
. It also deals a moderate amount of critical hit damage at a 1x critical chance multiplier. It has a high-end AP cost, low-end durability, moderate weight, and a moderate caps value. It requires a 50 Unarmed skill level and 5 Strength attribute level to use effectively. It is considered an improved holdout weapon.

Locations[]
- Boulder City - One in the Boulder City ruins, in an ammunition case on the second floor of one of the houses.
- Camp McCarran - Five or more are located in several footlockers in the tents directly north of the entrance to the terminal building.
- Camp Golf - Several can be found in the footlockers in the trooper tents outside the House Resort.
- Cottonwood Cove - Two are in the footlockers in the tent next to the Cottonwood Cove HQ.
- Hidden Valley - In the Hidden Valley bunker, many can be found in footlockers, though it is just as likely to find laser pistols instead.
- Hoover Dam - One is inside a footlocker in one of the sleeping quarters near Quartermaster Bardon in the offices.
- Freeside - Can be sold by Mick at Mick & Ralph's after passing a 30 Speech skill check to access his special inventory.
- Freeside - One is found on the top floor of the Silver Rush (requires getting opening the Hard-locked door to the left of the main floor, either by picking or acquiring the Van Graff key from Gloria Van Graff, Jean-Baptiste Cutting, and/or any Van Graff guard including Simon).
- Novac - Sometimes sold by Cliff Briscoe in the Dino Bite gift shop.
- Lake Mead - Randomly spawns at the scavenger platform inside a metal box.
- The Strip - One in the Tops, inside the safe within the presidential suite.
- The Fort - One in a footlocker in Caesar's tent, inside a Very Hard-locked gun case.
- The Fort - Inside the Securitron vault, in one of the footlockers inside the security room.
- Vault 3 - Can sometimes be found on numerous Fiend raiders.
- Vault 11 - One can be found in a footlocker in the living quarters.
- Abandoned BoS bunker - Two may be found in the footlockers in the laboratory.
Notes[]
- With the release of Old World Blues, the weapon's base attack speed was decreased so that, even with the maximum 100 Unarmed skill level and a high Strength attribute level as well as perks like Slayer, it is closer to that of its counterpart in Fallout 3. The speed decrease is not present in the weapon's variants like the ballistic fist, however.
- When doing a power attack with the power fist, the sound of the hydraulics is louder.
Bugs[]
- The power fist does not use a higher resolution texture when used by the player, despite one being available in the game's resources.[verified]
- The power fist uses the default Pip-Boy image from Fallout 3, despite there being an updated version present in the game's resources.[verified]
- Sometimes when appearing in third-person player, the power fist will appear above the hand.[verified]
