Poplar's Hood is a piece of clothing in Fallout 3, a unique variant of the Oasis Druid Hood.
Characteristics
The item's appearance is the same as the other Oasis inhabitants hoods but it cannot, strangely enough, be repaired using their Oasis Druid Hoods. It can, however, be repaired with Brahmin-Skin Outfits, Wasteland Settler Outfits, Wasteland Wanderer Outfits, Wasteland Doctor Fatigues, Wasteland Surgeon Outfits, Roving Trader Outfits, and Slave Outfits.
Obtaining
Main article: Oasis (quest)
Poplar's Hood is rewarded from one option of the Oasis quest. The Lone Wanderer must help Harold grow by applying Laurel's Liniment to his heart.
Combinations
- Combine this with Recon Armor and Lag-Bolt's Shades (Broken Steel). Stats show that the combination is +18 Sneak, +3 Lockpick and +1 Agility.
- You can wear the CSA , Lag-Bolt's Shades (Broken Steel), and Poplar's Hood for a total of +28 Sneak, +3 Lockpick and +1 Agility .
- Another option is to use the CSA glitch to wear both Poplar's Hood and Shady Hat at the same time and with Lag-Bolt's Shades and the CSA, you get +33 Sneak, +3 Lockpick, +1 Agility and +1 Perception
Notes
- When wearing Poplar's Hood it is not named "Poplar's Hood" in the Stats Effects screen. Instead there it bears the name "Minderlithe".
- Poplar's Hood is the only piece of equipment on the game (without DLC) with +10 Sneak, therefore makes a perfect sneak head-piece.
- Indirectly, it adds +2 Sneak, +2 Small Guns, and +2 Action Points, as long as your Agility is not already 10.
This is the only piece of headwear that adds to your agility.Pre War Baseball Cap, and others.
