A Pool Cue, or cue stick, is a common weapon found throughout the wastelands in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout 3

  • This weapon is regarded as a "joke weapon" like the rolling pin and BB gun, as it has a low damage value and is unable to perform critical hits.
  • This weapon may serve well in the earliest parts of the game as the player's first foes are weak. But this weapon becomes useless, to say the least, in other parts of the game.

Locations

  • Pool Cues can sometimes be found on raiders and wastelanders.
  • A pair of Pool Cues can be found on almost all billiard tables throughout the Wasteland. Some among many include the tables in Rivet City and the Federalist Lounge.
  • Sometimes the developers seem to have included the Pool Cue as a joke in containers which are far too small to contain one, even unscrewed, such as mail boxes.

Variants

  • The Break - The Break is the build-a-better-Pool-Cue, with the ability to get a critical hit, as well as more damage and item HP.

Fallout: New Vegas

Template:Weapon FNV A largely useless weapon still, though it's damage has been boosted significantly and it still retains a very fast attack speed.
