The police baton is a weapon in Fallout: New Vegas.
Characteristics[]
A one-handed blunt melee weapon that, while once used by pre-War police officers to serve law and order, in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, has become a tool of peacekeepers and troublemakers alike.
It deals the third-lowest amount of damage per strike of all blunt melee weapons, but has the second-fastest attack speed as well. It also deals the third-lowest critical hit damage, but costs the third-lowest amount of AP and has significantly high durability and the second-lowest weight of all blunt melee weapons. It requires no Melee Weapons skill level and 1 Strength to use effectively.
Special attack[]
The police baton has a special Lights Out attack that does 125% damage in V.A.T.S. at the cost of 6 more action points (requires a Melee skill of 50).
