The plant spike is a thrown weapon in Fallout 2.
These spikes are spat by spore plants at foes, and can be collected off the ground. They're very weak and worthless, so leaving them might be a better idea. However, unlike rocks, they are weightless, so the only thing keeping them wastes is your time.
