Notes
- Assigning a person to a pillory for the first time will grant the Time Out Achievement/Trophy.
- If Marcy, Jun, Mama Murphy, Preston or Sturges are assigned to a pillory their scripted A.I. will make them leave the pillory every now and again to go hammer the yellow house that the workshop is in. Other NPCs such as settlers and even companions will stay in the pillory.
Behind the scenes
During the Middle Ages the pillory was a device used for punishment of criminals by public humiliation. Passers-by were free to mock the criminals or physically abuse them by throwing rotten fruits at them.
Bugs
When assigning a settler to the pillory they will not enter it but it will still show as assigned.[verified] This can sometimes be remedied by assigning the settler to another workstation and then re-assigning to the pillory, or by moving the pillory to another location.
Expansion required
This article is too short to provide more than rudimentary information about the subject. You can help Nukapedia by expanding it.
