CitKodiakGallows | What's with that Gallows guy? | Neutral 50 | Heard you took the pot. Good work. Of course, I'm not going to ask how you found out what his name was... | 1 |
What's with that Gallows guy? | Neutral 50 | Gallows? He's not a bad guy, truth be told. He just doesn't talk much, and if it ain't soldierin', that boy has no time for it. | 2
Neutral 50 | Tell you what, though he's the meanest son of a bitch around here. All business. The rest of us, we get our R and R in. Not Gallows. | 3
Neutral 50 | There's even a betting pool on who can find out his real name. Talk to Glade about it. He'll tell you. | 4
CitKodiakStory | How did you end up in the Brotherhood? | Neutral 50 | Oh, now you want story time? Sorry. I'm not havin' it. | 5 |
How did you end up in the Brotherhood? | Neutral 50 | Now that's a story... The only reason I'm here is because of Elder Lyons. You see, I grew up in the Pitt. Don't suppose you've ever been there, huh? | 6
Neutral 50 | It's about 500 klicks to the northwest. Place is a nightmare three irradiated rivers coming together. People there were... not well. | 7
Neutral 50 | But the Brotherhood of Steel came down on the place with a righteous hammer. They called it "The Scourge." | 8
CitKodiakStory1 | What was the Scourge? | Neutral 50 | It was a Brotherhood operation. They marched in and swept the place clean. Most of the people there were half-mutated, cancerous, vile things. | 9 |
Neutral 50 | And these people... rape gangs, torture squads... it was pure chaos there. The Scourge is the best thing that could have happened to it. | 10
Neutral 50 | This was way back, before the Citadel was fortified. Part of the early recon after the Brotherhood first arrived in this area. | 11
Neutral 50 | One night, a squad of Brothers led by Paladin Lyons swept into the city from over Mount Wash, tearing apart anyone who stood against them. | 12
Neutral 50 | They were completely outnumbered. And still they razed that place to the ground. | 13
CitKodiakStory1a | How did you escape? | Neutral 50 | As they swept through, the Brotherhood policed up every non-mutie child they could find. Turns out, there weren't that many. | 14 |
Neutral 50 | Me and maybe twenty others. The younger we were, the less of a chance that we were mutated. It was ugly work, no doubt, but it had to be done. | 15
Neutral 50 | I'll never forget the sight of the Brotherhood of Steel breaching the breast of the mountain at dawn. | 16
CitKodiakStory1a1 | How did you end up back here? | Neutral 50 | Elder Lyons brought us all back to the Citadel. He said it was the safest place he knew of. This place was still being converted. | 17 |
Neutral 50 | He put us in as Initiates and kept a watchful eye over us. He was tough, but he taught us to stay alive. The man is like a father to me. | 18
CitKodiakStory1a1a | That's pretty amazing, Kodiak. | Neutral 50 | Nah. The amazing thing is Elder Lyons. He risked everything went in outmanned and outgunned. I'll never be able to thank him enough. | 19 |
Neutral 50 | So I do my best to serve the Brotherhood. I know that's what he really wants. In time, I'm sure you'll understand... | 20
CitKodiakStory1a1b | Oh, you're done? Sorry, I nodded off there... | Neutral 50 | You think that's funny? Elder Lyons is a great man who risked a lot for the Wastes. | 21 |
Neutral 50 | If I hear you disrespect him, or me, like that again, we're going to have words... | 22
CitKodiakStory1a2 | What happened to your parents? | Neutral 50 | Hell if I know. I never knew them. I lived on the street and fought with rats for food. | 23 |
CitKodiakStory1a3 | What happened to the other kids from the Pitt? | Neutral 50 | All of 'em became Initiates. Most of them went on to become Brothers. A lot fell in action. | 24 |
Neutral 50 | I'm the only survivor of the Scourge of the Pitt still stationed at the Citadel. | 25
CitKodiakStory1a4 | That's awful! How could the Brotherhood do that? | Neutral 50 | Normally, that would get you a crack across the jaw. But since you didn't know what the Pitt was like, I'll let it go. | 26 |
Neutral 50 | I still have nightmares about the place. Thirty years and how many horrors later, and the Pitt is still the worst thing I've ever seen. | 27
Neutral 50 | It was ugly work, sure. Questionably moral? No doubt. But there was no other choice. That city had to go. | 28
CitKodiakStory1b | What made them so terrible? | Neutral 50 | The rivers. Even after the war, they were still flowing, but irradiated, and filled with God knows what else. | 29 |
Neutral 50 | I saw things there I can't even begin to describe. I was only... what... eight years old when I left? Hell of a thing for a kid to go through. | 30
CitKodiakStory1c | Huh? I'm sorry, are you still talking? | Neutral 50 | Hey, you wanted to hear it. | 31 |
CitKodiakStory1c1 | Yeah, I did. I'm sorry, go on... | Neutral 50 | Right... so where was I? Oh, yeah. Brotherhood swept into the Pitt on the night of the Scourge. | 32 |
CitKodiakStory1c2 | That was before I knew how boring it was. | Neutral 50 | Then you don't have to hear it. The hell with you. | 33 |
CitKodiakStory2 | Sounds like a nice place. You should go back. | Neutral 50 | Now see... That was just rude. Fine, no story for you. | 34 |
DLC03TLCitadelEnclave | So... Any thoughts on the Enclave? | Neutral 50 | If the playing field is even, the Brotherhood is going to come out on top. That's all there is to it. | 35 |
So... Any thoughts on the Enclave? | Neutral 50 | I don't know what to think. Men we can kill. Some sort of missile from out of nowhere? How do we beat that? | 36
So... Any thoughts on the Enclave? | Neutral 50 | As long as we keep grinding, we'll be through them in no time. We just need to keep the pressure on. | 37
GREETING | GREETING | Neutral 50 | Hail. Name's Greg Greg Bear. Most of the guys just call me Kodiak. | 38 |
Neutral 50 | Heard about that mess over at the purifier. Don't you worry you're safe here. | 39
GREETING | Neutral 50 | Hail, friend. | 40
GREETING | Neutral 50 | I bend my knee to the might of Steel. | 41
GREETING | Neutral 50 | How can I help, friend? | 42
TLCitadelEnclave | So... Any thoughts on the Enclave? | Neutral 50 | There's meat under that armor, and meat can be ground… | 43 |
TLCitadelSuperMutant | Care to share anything about the Super Mutants? | Anger 10 | Hell, I've killed more of those yellow Frankensteins than any other member of the Pride. 'Cept maybe Gallows, with those crazy solo night ops of his. | 44 |
TLLyonsPride | What can you tell me about the Lyons' Pride? | Neutral 50 | Ah, see, the Brotherhood's one thing, but the Pride... Best of the best. Every damn one of us. Hand picked by Sentinel Lyons herself. | 45 |
TLPrideJob What do you do here? |
What's your combat specialization in Lyons' Pride? | Happy 50 | Hell, I do it all. Recon, demolition, tactical assault. Guess you could say I'm the Pride's jack of all trades. | 46 |
