The paintball is an ammunition type added with the Fallout 4 add-on Contraptions Workshop.

While normally unobtainable (a paintball gun only requires being wired to a generator to function), when spawned using console commands, individual paintballs appear as a round spherical object filled with paint of a chosen color.
